I've recently received permission to adapt Neil Gaiman's "Signal to Noise" as a stage play. I have the rights to do this for about six months, which will put the production right around my 30th birthday. Oy.
This blog will be a record of the road to production.
"Signal to Noise" is the story of an autuer film director who discovers he is dying. As he prepares to work on his final screenplay (about a group of European villagers in 999 AD who believe the world is about to end), he wonders... why? Why work on a film I'm never going to make?
This story was previously adapted by another group in Chicago, I believe, who made changes and additions to the text.
